HCH Events this Year
Book Sales in May and August 2024
The two book sales last season held in the club shop were an unbridled success. We are certainly indebted to all who gave or bought books at those events. We managed to raise over £500 from the sales of donated books, which has enabled us to fund additional items for our unique Hampshire Cricket Heritage Collection held in the Archive Room. We rely solely on donations of cricket books from our supporters to generate the stock to be able to re-sell at our Book Sales.
Please, give generously again this Spring, if you have any spare cricket books, when you return to the ground. You can hand them in at The Club Shop, in order to bolster our stock. James and his team in the Club Shop have been extremely helpful and supportive in helping us stage these events in the past. He has mentioned - in order to help the shop team - that they would be very happy to accept second hand books at any first class game, but would ask to avoid any donations at a T20, Hundred or International game.
The key dates to look out for our book sales in 2024 are:
First Book Sale; Friday 10th and Saturday 11th May 2024
Days One and Two of the Durham game
Second Book Sale: Thursday 22nd and Friday 23rd August 2024
Days One and Two of the Essex game
Our first Archive Room Open Day for all HCH Supporters
will be Day Two of the Kent Game on Monday July 1st 2024.
