Dear all,
I just spotted this on a website called 'Some Old Cricket'. It also contains far longer You Tube clips of Gloucestershire v International Cavaliers in 1965, with a young Barry Richards playing for Gloucs, and with Butch White playing for the Cavaliers. There is also footage of Surrey v the Cavaliers in the same year with Butch White again playing for the Cavaliers. These clips are around an hour long. On the Gloucester game, the interview with Barry is after around 11:30, with opinions on him from Sir Learie Constantine at around 13:50, then at around 40 minutes John Arlott mentions the 'violent 53 in 21 minutes from David White' in the Cavaliers innings ! Unfortunately we don't see Danny Livinstone, who also batted for the Cavaliers. I know this is strictly not Hampshire Heritage, but I thought it was of interest as it is a rare opportunity to see clips of some legendary Hampshire players, and is in addition to the other You Tube clips of Barry's hundred against Lancs at Bournemouth, his 356, his Legends of cricket profile, plus clips of Malcolm Marshall, Andy Roberts and Gordon Greenidge, all of which have been on You Tube for some time and which I imagine most of you are aware of. Of course, You Tube clips are not physical items and can't really be stored anywhere, but I thought HCH Supporters might be interested to know they are so widely available.
Kind regards,
Charles
